The Council is made up of:

  • the President, Vice President, Hon-Secretary, & Hon Treasurer
  • IWAI Directors
  • six ordinary members of the association elected at the AGM
  • the immediate past president of IWAI
  • two representatives from each branch
  • representatives of a number of other like-minded organisations (RCAG, Ulster Waterways Group, Kilbeggan Harbour Amenity Group) They are co-opted by the first meeting of Council after the AGM
